[00:00:27] In the place am Potsdamer Platz findest du einfach alles.
[00:00:45] I don't know if it was bad luck or something more, but everything that night seemed off.
[00:00:51] Like the universe was trying to stop me.
[00:00:54] My name is Edwin and here is a scary story.
[00:01:03] It started with the Uber.
[00:01:05] The guy was supposed to pick me up at 7.30 sharp.
[00:01:08] My train was scheduled for 8.15 and I'd planned it all out.
[00:01:12] Perfectly.
[00:01:13] But instead of showing up at my apartment, he was parked two blocks away.
[00:01:17] He said his GPS was acting weird.
[00:01:21] Sorry bro, you're gonna have to come to me.
[00:01:23] It's um, saying you're somewhere else?
[00:01:26] By the time I got to the car, it was already 7.45.
[00:01:29] The ride was tense.
[00:01:32] The driver kept glancing at his phone like he was lost.
[00:01:35] The streets, they looked normal, but something fell wrong.
[00:01:39] Too many red lights.
[00:01:40] Roads that should have been clear were backed up.
[00:01:43] It was like the city didn't want me to leave.
[00:01:47] I finally made it to the station at 8.10.
[00:01:50] Five minutes to spare.
[00:01:52] I sprinted inside, my bag banging against my side.
[00:01:55] Ticket already pulled up on my phone.
[00:01:57] But when I scanned it at the gate, it didn't go through.
[00:02:04] It didn't work.
[00:02:05] I tried again.
[00:02:06] Same thing.
[00:02:07] The screen flashed this message I had never seen before.
[00:02:11] Invalid entry.
[00:02:14] I rushed over to the counter, my heart pounding, trying to explain to the clerk.
[00:02:18] She just stared at me like I was crazy.
[00:02:21] This ticket is for tomorrow night, she said.
[00:02:24] But it wasn't.
[00:02:25] I checked it a hundred times when I bought it.
[00:02:28] It was for tonight.
[00:02:30] She printed it, told me to try again, and this time it worked.
[00:02:34] But I was down to the wire.
[00:02:35] The platform was almost empty when I got there.
[00:02:39] And that's when I realized something else.
[00:02:42] My train wasn't even here yet.
[00:02:45] Those who take this route regularly must have known that it's never on time
[00:02:49] because there are only a few people relaxing by the columns of that cold train station.
[00:02:54] Two women out in the distance struggling with the vending machine.
[00:02:57] The schedule on the board showed a delay.
[00:03:00] No explanation.
[00:03:01] Just late.
[00:03:04] It was getting close to 9pm by then, and I was standing there, feeling this chill settled in the air.
[00:03:10] People were leaving the station one by one.
[00:03:13] And me?
[00:03:14] I just stood there, waiting for a train that might never come.
[00:03:19] I don't know why, but I felt it then.
[00:03:22] Something wasn't right.
[00:03:25] Whatever it was, it wasn't done with me yet.
[00:03:29] Something was trying to stop me.
[00:03:35] At long last, the train arrived.
[00:03:37] I barely waited for the doors to open before I rushed inside, my breath fogging up in the cold air.
[00:03:44] I found a seat by the window.
[00:03:46] Tossed my bag down and leaned back, trying to shake off the tension.
[00:03:51] My fingers were shaking as I pulled out my phone.
[00:03:54] No messages.
[00:03:55] No missed calls.
[00:03:57] It didn't surprise me.
[00:03:58] No one else in the family seemed to care about my Tia Dolores like I did.
[00:04:01] She had been the only one who ever really looked out for me growing up.
[00:04:07] She liked to keep to herself, and all I knew was that I had to get to her before it was too late.
[00:04:15] I stared out the window.
[00:04:16] The platform barely lit and fading fast as the train started moving.
[00:04:22] Trees blurred past in the darkness.
[00:04:25] And for a moment, I felt like I could finally breathe again.
[00:04:30] But then, I noticed it.
[00:04:33] A light.
[00:04:35] At first, I thought it was just a reflection or maybe another train passing by.
[00:04:40] But it wasn't.
[00:04:44] It was out there in the trees.
[00:04:46] Bright, but not steady.
[00:04:48] Flickered and darted from side to side, swerving in and out of the branches like it was alive.
[00:04:55] And I couldn't look away.
[00:04:57] The light was keeping up with the train and maybe even gaining on it.
[00:05:00] And then it got closer.
[00:05:03] Close enough that I could make out something behind it.
[00:05:08] It wasn't just a light.
[00:05:10] It was a figure.
[00:05:12] A shape I couldn't quite make out.
[00:05:16] The closer it got, the clearer it became.
[00:05:21] Pale, almost translucent skin.
[00:05:25] Stretching over a face that wasn't human.
[00:05:29] Hollow eyes.
[00:05:30] Twisted horns.
[00:05:33] Teeth too sharp to belong to anything natural.
[00:05:39] It slammed against the window, grinning at me with this impossible smile.
[00:05:43] It claws scraped against the glass, leaving streaks like it was trying to get in.
[00:05:49] I jumped back, nearly falling out of my seat, my heart, racing.
[00:05:53] No one else seemed to see it.
[00:05:55] They just sat there, staring at their phones like nothing was happening.
[00:06:00] And then it was gone.
[00:06:02] Just like that.
[00:06:04] One moment it was there, staring at me through the glass and the next, light vanished into the trees.
[00:06:13] I wasn't even going to try to sleep for the rest of the ride.
[00:06:16] I couldn't.
[00:06:17] All I could do was sit there, staring out the window, waiting for it to come back.
[00:06:28] By the time we pulled into the next station, the air outside felt even heavier.
[00:06:32] But the rest of the ride was eerily calm.
[00:06:36] I couldn't shake the image of that thing though.
[00:06:38] Its hollow eyes.
[00:06:40] Its claws scratching against the glass.
[00:06:42] And my hands were trembling.
[00:06:44] But I did my best to hide it from the other passengers.
[00:06:49] As we waited at the station, I found myself thinking of Tio Dolores.
[00:06:53] Her voice.
[00:06:54] Her laugh.
[00:06:56] The smell of her favorite herbal tea.
[00:06:58] She'd been eccentric, sure.
[00:07:00] Always talking about energies, unseen forces.
[00:07:03] Things that most of us brushed off as old wives' tales.
[00:07:07] But she believed in them.
[00:07:09] All of them.
[00:07:10] Lechusas.
[00:07:11] Witches that take kids in the middle of the night.
[00:07:15] There's more to this world than meets the eye.
[00:07:19] You just have to be willing to see it.
[00:07:22] What she used to say.
[00:07:24] And I used to laugh it off as a kid.
[00:07:27] Her stories about spirits, protective charms, and the time she swore she saw a shadow figure in the garden.
[00:07:33] But now, sitting on that train, I couldn't help but wonder.
[00:07:38] Had she known something I didn't?
[00:07:43] She had tried to teach me, too.
[00:07:45] Showed me how to recognize the signs.
[00:07:47] How to protect myself.
[00:07:49] I hadn't taken it too seriously back then.
[00:07:51] I'd been too busy with school, friends, my own life.
[00:07:56] Now, all I could do was wish I had paid more attention.
[00:08:03] When you feel it, that heaviness in the air, it's not just your imagination.
[00:08:09] You listen to it, mijo.
[00:08:12] You listen and you act.
[00:08:14] Don't let it catch you off guard.
[00:08:17] Her words echoed in my head, blending with the sounds of the train.
[00:08:21] And for the first time in years, I thought about the small charm she had given me on my 12th birthday.
[00:08:27] A little carved stone, wrapped in a thin cord of leather.
[00:08:31] She said it was for protection, but I had lost it somewhere along the way.
[00:08:37] Now, I wish I still had it.
[00:08:39] I pulled my jacket tighter around me and glanced out the window again.
[00:08:47] The night outside seemed darker than before.
[00:08:50] The trees rushing by like shadows.
[00:08:52] And for a moment, I thought I saw it again.
[00:08:56] The light.
[00:08:57] Farther away this time, but still there.
[00:09:00] Watching.
[00:09:02] Waiting.
[00:09:06] I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to block it out.
[00:09:09] And whatever it was, whatever it wanted, I wasn't going to let it stop me.
[00:09:14] Tia Dolores needed me.
[00:09:17] And I was going to get to her, no matter what.
[00:09:20] I just had to hold on.
[00:09:22] Just a little bit longer.
[00:09:27] But I wasn't the only one who saw it.
[00:09:29] About 20 minutes into the next stretch of the ride, a man, sitting a few rows ahead of me, started to fidget.
[00:09:35] At first, it was subtle.
[00:09:37] Just a glance out the window.
[00:09:39] And then another.
[00:09:40] But soon, he was craning his neck.
[00:09:43] Pressing his face to the glass.
[00:09:46] What the hell is that?
[00:09:49] He wasn't quiet.
[00:09:50] Head started to turn.
[00:09:52] I slouched lower, hoping he wouldn't notice me.
[00:09:55] Last thing I needed was to explain what I had seen.
[00:10:00] Hey, does anyone else see that light?
[00:10:02] Out there?
[00:10:03] Following us?
[00:10:05] A woman across the aisle from him glanced out her window and shook her head.
[00:10:09] Clearly annoyed.
[00:10:10] The guy wasn't letting it go.
[00:10:13] He stood up, swaying slightly as the train jostled.
[00:10:17] I'm serious.
[00:10:18] There's something out there.
[00:10:20] It's weird.
[00:10:21] Weird was the only word he could think of.
[00:10:24] I wouldn't have been able to explain it either.
[00:10:27] He bolted toward the nearest attendant, waving his arms frantically.
[00:10:31] Hey, hey, you have to stop the train.
[00:10:34] Something's out there.
[00:10:35] It's dangerous.
[00:10:37] Dangerous.
[00:10:38] There you go.
[00:10:40] That seems to make more sense.
[00:10:43] Sir, please return to your seat.
[00:10:45] You're causing a disturbance.
[00:10:47] No, you don't understand.
[00:10:49] It's a light.
[00:10:50] But it's alive.
[00:10:51] It's coming for us.
[00:10:54] The attendant glanced toward the window and then back at the man.
[00:10:58] Her expression stayed neutral, but I noticed her grip tighten on the back of the chair in front of her.
[00:11:05] Sir, if you don't sit down, I'll have to inform security at the next station.
[00:11:09] You're not listening.
[00:11:11] Please, just look outside.
[00:11:15] The train rocked harder than usual, and for a moment, the whole car seemed to hold its breath.
[00:11:21] And then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw it again.
[00:11:24] The light.
[00:11:26] It streaked past my window, impossibly fast, darting between the trees like it was toying with us.
[00:11:33] The passenger wasn't wrong.
[00:11:35] Whatever it was, it was not normal, and it was getting closer.
[00:11:43] There.
[00:11:43] Look.
[00:11:44] It's right there.
[00:11:46] Everyone turned toward the windows, and for a split second, the light flared so brightly it lit up the entire car.
[00:11:53] And then, the figure appeared.
[00:11:58] It wasn't just a light.
[00:12:02] It was the same thing I had seen before.
[00:12:06] Pale, twisted, and grinning with those sharp, impossible teeth.
[00:12:11] Its hollow eyes seemed to pierce right through the glass.
[00:12:15] It threw me.
[00:12:18] What is that thing?
[00:12:21] Everyone, stay calm.
[00:12:23] Please, remain in your seats.
[00:12:25] But no one was calm.
[00:12:27] People were scrambling.
[00:12:28] Some were trying to move away from the windows.
[00:12:30] Others were pulling out their phones to record.
[00:12:33] The attendant grabbed the intercom.
[00:12:35] Her voice was shaking as she called for the conductor.
[00:12:37] We need assistance in car three, now.
[00:12:41] The light outside seemed to grow dimmer, but it wasn't gone.
[00:12:44] It was circling us now, faster and faster, like a predator closing in on its prey.
[00:12:51] And then, just as suddenly as it had appeared, it was gone.
[00:12:58] The light vanished into the darkness, leaving nothing but the faint echo to its growls behind.
[00:13:07] Is it over?
[00:13:11] No one answered the person.
[00:13:13] The attendant stood frozen, her hand still clutching the intercom.
[00:13:17] The rest of the car sat in stunned silence.
[00:13:20] Everyone, too afraid to move.
[00:13:23] Too afraid to look outside again.
[00:13:26] Whatever that thing was, it wasn't done with us yet.
[00:13:31] Not by a long shot.
[00:13:32] We are Teresa and Nemo.

[00:14:15] The platform, which we used before Shopify, has used regularly updates, which have often been brought to the shop.
[00:14:52] As the minutes crawled by, the train settled back into its rhythm.
[00:14:56] People whispered nervously, clutching their bags or their loved ones.
[00:15:01] My mind was somewhere else entirely.
[00:15:04] My aunt used to call me her shadow.
[00:15:07] Wherever she went, I followed.
[00:15:09] When I was little, I would cling to her skirts, watching her perform her strange rituals.
[00:15:14] Burning herbs, whispering words in a language I didn't understand.
[00:15:22] Never leave me, mijo.
[00:15:24] Promise me, no matter what happens, that you'll stay.
[00:15:28] And I promised.
[00:15:30] I promised her a thousand times.
[00:15:33] But kids, we grow up.
[00:15:35] Life gets in the way.
[00:15:37] And somewhere along the line, I broke that promise.
[00:15:41] And now every mile that separated us felt like a weight on my chest.
[00:15:45] Why had I waited for so long?
[00:15:48] Why hadn't I answered her last call?
[00:15:51] She sounded so weak.
[00:15:54] So afraid.
[00:15:59] And then I felt it again.
[00:16:01] That pressure.
[00:16:02] That sense of being watched.
[00:16:05] I turned my head slowly, dreading what I might see.
[00:16:10] And there it was, hovering just outside the window.
[00:16:14] The light, it flickered and swayed as if taunting me.
[00:16:20] This time, the passengers saw it too.
[00:16:24] A woman screamed, someone shouted for the attendant, but before anyone could react,
[00:16:30] everything went black.
[00:16:41] I woke up to silence, and not the kind of silence you hear after the world settles,
[00:16:46] but the heavy, suffocating kind that feels alive.
[00:16:51] My body ached, and my head throbbed with a dull, pulsing pain.
[00:16:58] I opened my eyes, but the world around me didn't make any sense.
[00:17:03] It was dark, but not the kind of dark you would expect.
[00:17:06] It was like being underwater, dim, with shapes shifting in the distance.
[00:17:14] And then, I saw her.
[00:17:18] My aunt, Tia Dolores.
[00:17:22] She was standing a few feet away, her silhouette illuminated by a faint, otherworldly glow.
[00:17:30] She looked exactly as I remembered.
[00:17:33] Frail, but elegant.
[00:17:35] Her gray hair cascading over the sides of her head.
[00:17:40] You made it, mijo.
[00:17:43] Her words hit me like a punch to the chest.
[00:17:46] I wanted to move, to run to her, but my legs felt heavy, like they were rooted to the ground.
[00:17:53] Tia?
[00:17:54] Tia?
[00:17:54] How?
[00:17:56] How are you here?
[00:17:59] Don't worry about that now.
[00:18:01] You're here.
[00:18:03] That's what matters.
[00:18:07] Her voice was soft, almost musical.
[00:18:10] There was something beneath it.
[00:18:12] Something I couldn't quite place.
[00:18:16] I took a shaky step forward, reaching out to her.
[00:18:19] And that's when I noticed.
[00:18:22] That she wasn't standing on the ground.
[00:18:25] She was floating, just a few inches above it.
[00:18:30] What's...
[00:18:31] What's going on?
[00:18:32] Where are we?
[00:18:35] You don't remember, do you?
[00:18:38] Look around, mijo.
[00:18:40] I turned my head, and the memories came flooding back.
[00:18:44] The train.
[00:18:45] The crash.
[00:18:47] The screams.
[00:18:48] The light.
[00:18:51] It all hit me, at once, like a dam bursting above me.
[00:18:58] No.
[00:18:59] No, this isn't real.
[00:19:00] This is a dream.
[00:19:01] It has to be a dream.
[00:19:02] It's not a dream, mi niño.
[00:19:08] It's the truth.
[00:19:10] You kept your promise.
[00:19:14] You came back to me.
[00:19:17] My heart pounded as I realized what she meant.
[00:19:21] I wasn't alive anymore.
[00:19:23] The crash.
[00:19:25] I didn't survive it.
[00:19:27] And now, somehow, I was here.
[00:19:30] With her.
[00:19:34] I didn't mean to leave you.
[00:19:35] I...
[00:19:36] I tried to get back.
[00:19:37] I really tried.
[00:19:39] I know, mijo.
[00:19:41] I've always known.
[00:19:42] And that's why I waited for you.
[00:19:46] Her face softened, but there was a glimmer in her eyes.
[00:19:49] Something that sent a chill down my spine.
[00:19:53] She stepped closer.
[00:19:54] I could feel the air grow colder with every inch she closed between us.
[00:20:03] Now, we can be together.
[00:20:07] Forever.
[00:20:12] Her words didn't feel comforting.
[00:20:14] I stumbled back, but the ground beneath me wasn't solid anymore.
[00:20:19] It felt like quicksand pulling me down.
[00:20:22] Before I could finish, her face twisted.
[00:20:25] The warm smile disappeared, replaced by something monstrous.
[00:20:29] Her eyes turned black.
[00:20:32] Her mouth stretching into an unnatural grin.
[00:20:36] You promised, cariño.
[00:20:39] Promises can't be broken.
[00:20:45] I tried to run.
[00:20:46] There was nowhere to go.
[00:20:49] The darkness closed in around me.
[00:20:53] Her voice echoing in the background.
[00:21:00] You said you'd never leave me.
